In January of 2006 a group of college students were sitting around trying to figure out how they would collect money from almost 100 people for a reunion bar crawl they were hosting later that month. Not only would they be responsible for over 1000 dollars in cash, but they'd also have to track down each person to receive the money, organize notes on who had paid and who still owed, pay out of their own pockets for those who weren't in town the time the money was due, and keep track of everyone's sizes and information. This was going to be quite a task! But did it have to be?

Shirt and Simple was created to solve the problems described above. No longer will group and event organizers need to stress over the hardships of paying for a custom bulk order. Using this service, they can create their own order pages where, using a simple address book invitation system, they can direct anyone who wishes to order a product for their group to their page. Then, each of these 'invitees' can pay for that product online! Prices will not be steep because they have a bulk rate, but each person can still pay individually! Shirt and Simple collects the money, pays for the product at one time and at a bulk rate, keeps track of sizes, names, and customizations, and manages deadlines. These things, along with a ton of other services, make Shirt and Simple the perfect service for event and group organizers of all kinds.

We launched in September 2006 in Iowa City and are a company with huge plans for growth. This is the first service of its kind in the world.
